10.07.08 - media control gibt bekannt, dass Videospiele weiter auf Wachstumskurs in Deuschland sind. Im ersten Halbjahr 2008 wurden Konsolenspiele im Wert von 282 Millionen Euro verkauft – ein Plus von 38,7 Prozent im Vorjahresvergleich.
Die Software-Verkaufsmenge vergrößerte sich auf 7,7 Millionen Stück. Dies entspricht einer Zunahme um 30,5 Prozent zum Auftakthalbjahr 2007. Damals waren es 5,9 Millionen Spiele. Das gibt media control GfK auf Basis des wöchentlichen Panelmarktes bekannt.
Ulrike Altig, Geschäftsführerin von media control GfK, sagt dazu: 'Konsolenspiele, egal ob im heimischen Wohnzimmer oder unterwegs, sind ein etablierter Bestandteil der Lifestyle-Kultur.' Zu den Gewinnern gehören neben dem Handheld Nintendo DS die aktuellen Konsolen Wii, PlayStation3 Xbox 360.
Mit 36,4 Prozent Anteil an der Gesamtverkaufsmenge aller Videospiele ist der NDS klarer Marktführer. Insgesamt 2,8 Millionen Spiele für den Handheld wechselten im ersten Halbjahr dieses Jahres den Besitzer. Im gleichen Vorjahreszeitraum waren es 1,7 Millionen Stück.
Die Verkaufsmenge von Wii-Spielen wuchs zum Vorjahr um knapp das Vierfache. Gleichzeitig vergrößerte sich der Anteil an den Softwareumsätzen von 5,0 auf 14,6 Prozent. PS3-Spiele erreichten in den ersten sechs Monaten 2008 10,9 Prozent Marktanteil. Im Vergleichszeitraum waren es 2,9 Prozent.
Die beiden stationären Konsolen stiegen zur Nummer drei und vier auf. Sonys PlayStation2 blieb mit 22,0 Prozent auf Platz zwei; verlor jedoch rund 18 Prozent Marktanteil. Den Aufstieg der Angebote für aktuelle Konsolen bestätigt ein Blick auf die Top Ten der meistverkauften Spiele im ersten Halbjahr.
Topseller war Mario Kart Wii für Wii. Auf Platz zwei Grand Theft Auto IV für PS3. Das Treppchen komplettiert Dr. Kawashima: Mehr Gehirn-Jogging für Nintendo DS. Insgesamt endet der Vergleich Handheld gegen aktuelle Konsolen fünf zu fünf.
